Illinois Prayer Breakfast

A couple of weeks ago, I attended the first annual Illinois Prayer Breakfast. It was a great time. The event started with a Rosary and Mass(both optional) at 6:30am. Both were packed with people. They had to add 5 or so rows outside the room for everyone attending. I could feel the spirit of the people.

There were so many highlights. I came across someone new to me. Father Robert Barron spoke for about five minutes. He is well known in that area. He gave a very short and powerful speech. He has a website, blog, podcast and several books at www.wordonfire.org. You should take a look.

It reminded me of a point. We are all actors in the cultural fabric. The decisions we make, things we do, and things we let go all have an impact that last for eternity. So the way that I see it, whether we do something or nothing, there is still a consequence.

If you attended the breakfast, let me know what you thought.

Kaleidoscope

Here we are. It is March 11, 2008. This Catholic investing movement started in August of 2006 and now we have entered the information age with a blog. For the first entry, I plan to give you an introduction.

The picture that comes to my mind is a kaleidoscope. When you look through this toy, you see different colors and patterns. But, they are not strictly planned or expected. I hope to cover different topics, conversations, and the details of this journey. We hear from so many people that say,”I don’t know anything about this stuff.” We can start to fill in some of the gaps.

Invest Catholic is a great resource and portal for information. It can serve as your ‘Catholic Yahoo Finance’ type page.

If you would like to submit a questions, please email sam@trinityfiduciary.com.

God bless,
