There is a story about a preacher who was driving past a pristine farm. The fields were beautifully cultivated and abundant with well-cared-for crops. The fences, house, and barn were neat, clean, and freshly painted. A row of fine trees led from the road to the house where there were shaded lawns and flower beds. It was a beautiful sight to behold.

Sports are more than a pastime for local author and lawyer Frederick Day; they are activities where saints are discovered.
 
Heroic individuals who wear jerseys and swing bats are a source of inspiration for this man of deep faith, who happens to be a lifelong athlete and sports fan. Underneath the helmet and uniform is often hidden an inner man with a heart bigger than his legend, known only to God and those closest to him for an exemplary life of service to others.

If you are a convert to the Catholic Church, currently in the RCIA program or considering joining the Church, what is Christ leading you to do with your faith?  As a recent convert to the Church, I have frequently asked myself that question over the last few years.  I have humbly prayed for discernment, wisdom and revelation coupled with a passionate desire to follow Christ's will and not my own.  I have also spoken countless times with our priests, deacons and other members of the Church for guidance and help.   The two key points that have emerged from prayer and discussion are very simple: 1) Your Catholic faith is a lifelong journey and 2) Get involved, make a difference and do something with your faith.

In today's professional landscape, the term "thought leadership" can be interpreted any number of ways.  You see the phrase included in a company's laundry list of expertise areas, or voiced throughout the course of a strategy meeting. Some business executives embrace the concept more than others, and many bring it to life in a way that benefits the bottom line. Based on my understanding of the subject, I have come to define it this way: Thought leadership is the creation and advocation of an original idea that stimulates change for the benefit of an organization.
